Where's The Anger and Outrage?

Yesterday, the Prime Minister of Britain, Gordon Brown, sat down with Obama to talk about his idea for renewing the world's economic order. Brown is proposing a new, "New Deal" that is just like FDR's "New Deal" of the 1930's. However, this time, for the whole world (See Full Story). In many ways, Brown came a begging and, to some extent, was treated offhandedly by Obama (See Full Story). That was surprising.

All along, I have been equally surprised that Europe has be so kowtow-ish with us as a country. After all, it was all our toxic loan activity that has forced the world into such a widespread recession. So, why then, isn't Europe ripping us a new one over having created this absolute world economic crisis? Why all this buddy-buddy between the world's leaders and us? Shouldn't we be treated like crap these days?

Well, the answer is probably simple. Those Euro-dudes (and, maybe the whole world) are happy about this crisis. Finally, the economic dominance of the United States is about to be broken. And, Obama is the instrument of "change" to make that happen. He's the guy that will tear down this country's economy to a level of mediocrity that all of Europe and most of the world has always been waiting for.

It just amazes me why we aren't seeing daily, worldwide protests and flag-burnings against America. There was more picketing and protesting over the Iraq war than there has been over this crisis; and, that war hardly affected the world as greatly as this. Doesn't that speak volumes about what the world sees "as" happening to us? Doesn't it also speak volumes as to all the change that Obama is proposing? It just seems like the whole world is a little too happy over our inevitable fate! And, that's just my opinion.
